the illusory dichotomy of monomaniacs
strange coincidence of 3 elements today, all pointing to the same thing: there's no significant difference among flavors of state cheerleader.first was this article from my post this morning, then this from matt taibbi (via travis hunt), and this excerpt from tim cavanaugh (via matthew barganier).
don't want to read too much into this freak confluence, even though i've seen other, similar indications that i'd like to be hopeful about. these blips probably won't do anything except point out the obvious — that the USA are rapidly becoming the USSA.
that brings me naturally to something i've been thinking for quite a while now, but have tried to hold my tongue (ha!) for various reasons. no more. i've about had it up to here [above my eyeballs] with the increasingly frequent references to "claire wolfe time" — that mythical moment when freedom lovers are going to grab their pump shotguns and start zapping the pious criminals. anybody implying that crap is just talking big bullshit. look to the soviet union, and parts of atlas shrugged, for the natural end to the USSA, assuming it doesn't get the hell bombed out of it for misbehaving around the globe (followed by instant police state the likes of which we've not even imagined).
don't believe me that there will be no "claire wolfe time"? fine. cling to your bravado. the only claire wolfe moments these days will be lonely, principled souls being wiped out by the state one at a time. think there would have been an american revolution under the current surveillance state? right. that's easter bunny talk.
what i find most disgusting and laughable is the aura among some liberty groups of "is it getting to be claire wolfe time?" ROFL. getting to be! it's way past time, morally, for the state to be wiped out and get its guns shoved up its ass. who do you see fighting back for real? carl drega. randy weaver. the branch davidians. there are your role models. enjoy your future.
the state is going to pick us off one by one, if not physically, then spiritually. if you have a plan to stop it, let me know. i haven't heard of anything meaningful except for plans like that of lew rockwell. and that, bless his optimistic soul to heaven, is the work of a saint. despite all the sniping about how LRC and folks like it don't have a "plan for action", it is the only action i've heard that makes sense for improving our lot as a group. it's no coincidence that there's little "claire wolfe time" delusion over there.
1860 was claire wolfe time. 1933 was claire wolfe time. 1970 was claire wolfe time. 2003 was claire wolfe time. 2005 is claire wolfe time. the pretense that we're just coiling to strike does nothing except set people up for disappointment. fact: it's a bad time to be alive if you savor liberty. liberty is, unfortunately, not the natural state of most humans. the disease of the state cannot be pretended away. i see these 3 separate acknowledgements of the state disease today (at least one of them unintentional) as only the diagnosis of a terminal patient.
i confess that i have little faith in the intellect and moral composition of the average comfy, slave american. i consider him to be the very face of the enemy. i am outnumbered, outflanked, and up against the wall. i am his enemy, and he knows it.
not good, considering the options.
